HomeFinders is a not-for-profit, unregistered, privately run rescue, currently run from home as well as a small network of foster houses.

HomeFinders is dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and placement of abused, abandoned, and otherwise homeless animals. We take special interest in orphaned kittens, feral cats, non-native turtles and the smaller critters in the world, such as rats.

Although we are currently privately run we are striving to become the best we can be -- no call will be turned away without an offer of help, even if we are unable to personally take an animal in need into our care.

Donations made to HomeFinders are currently *not* tax deductable, although in the next year we plan to get moving on recieving charity status, and hopefully move the animals into a more public, convenient location.

You can contact HomeFinders by emailing: hfcanada@shaw.ca or phoning (evenings are best)  Hilary or Roberta @ (604) 585-2261

What we can do...

HomeFinders has the following services available...

Impounds; at various times we can take an animal in need into our care. We are usually able to take kittens, momma cats, some small animals (depending on cage space available) and turtles. We also take adult cats into our care, although there may be a waiting list depending on animals' temperment, and the room we have.

Adoptions; we *always* have an adult cat or to aound who would really like to find their special home. All cats over the age of 6 months are spayed/neutered and up to date with routine vaccinations; kittens may not be. We have a very strict spay/neuter contract which must be followed. We also have smaller animals such as rats, turtles, hamsters, bunnies and occasionally mice, etc for adoption throughout the year. Please call us or check our adoption page for current information.

OutReach Program; HomeFinders is available at anytime to list an animal in need, free of charge, on our adoption page and other rescue sites. Please contact us for more information.

Boarding; We are usually able to board small animals, and occasionally cats. This depends on the health and behavioural needs of the specific animal.

Referal; we try to keep a list of low cost vets, other shelters which may have what we don't and other animal related info for the Vancouver area and some other areas. Please email us if we can be of assistance.

*ALSO* we are usually available for basic training (dogs), and walking, etc.
